Isuzu 1997 "Dd" Auto Show Feature

Isuzu 1997 "Dd" Auto Show Feature Front Cover
This was apparently handed out at some International auto shows in 1997 "Dd" ("Dd" turned sideways, or "Od" for something like Origin | Diesel?) - it's an unusual publication on something similar to newsprint but of higher quality 14 1/2" tall x 8 1/4" wide with 20 unnumbered pages including the covers. Most of the text is both in Japanese and English - the exceptions are most page titles which are in Japanese with the exception of the main title: "In the heart of many people in the world "LIFE-STYLE INNOVATOR" Isuzu". The first couple of pages describe the relationship between three Isuzu worlds: Technology, SUV and CV (their commercial truck line) with the cover logo sideways and kana translated as "New Creation Diesel" - the whole package is a bit bewildering. The back cover mirrors the red front cover only in green. The interior colors pay homage to old style print with muted colors.

The content is mostly design focused with short features on various people somehow related to: Technology, SUV and CV. I think it's an attempt to relate various design decisions to real people and what they like, but as already mentioned it's a bit obtuse. The VX2 is featured on pages 6-7 with the feature on soccer player Hidetoshi Nakata. Page 18 shows the 1997 Isuzu SUV lineup with a sunburst orange mica (aka Proton in the US) VehiCROSS (Page 19 is all commercial box trucks).
