Isuzu 1999 Reebok Ironman Direct-Mail Promotion

In 1999 Isuzu sponsored the Ironman competition in Kona Hawaii. Prior to the event Isuzu sent out this mailer, cleverly packaged in a Reebok shoe box. It included a letter, a brochure, the box itself, a reply form and a gift buckslip.  If you test drove an Ironman you received a free pair of Reebok Trailzilla offroad running shoes.

The box package for Ironman was produced in a 25,000 quantity, and there is also a self-mailer produced in that same quantity. The box was donated to us by Reebok, as part of the promotion. I think I have a few of the self mailers which tested against the box — maybe five or ten. I believe I have two of the box packages, which include a letter, a brochure, the box itself and the reply form, plus the gift buckslip. The gift was for test-drive, and it was a pair of Reebok Trailzilla offroad running shoes. We did some database exchange work with Reebok for this promo, because their database so closely matched ours.
