ABS Light and Code 43

Bosch ABS Module

My ABS Pump is out again. There was a seller on eBay that sold the Bosch module without a swap - I can't seem to find him. From what I recall it was around $69 for the swap and $99 for a replacement. Maybe he wasn't on eBay but that's what I remember. Anyone have any info? I tried several searches and got mired in multiple threads, mostly for 2015 and earlier...

Sorry for the late reply. If you haven't already had the unit refurbed... The eBay guy that you are talking about is "ate1234". He's an old timer and has been there on ebay for years.

His eBay Store:

Mile High was right because it is the same company. The official company is:
http://www.autoecu.com/

The notes I have in my system:
ABS Refurbished by Automotive Scientific. Send the unit and they will return it after refurbished. 423-921-9085 www.autoecu.com - as of 2024.11.11 this will run you $159.

Another option for about $150:

From VX.info 2006.08.23

Well, my ABS light has been coming and staying on so I pulled the code and got:

Code 43: FR Holding Solenoid Valve - Shorted or Disconnected Coil/Wiring (B-12).

Looking further in the manual, the suggestion is to replace the EBCM (Electronic Break Control Module) or EHCU (Electronic Hydraulic Control Unit) depending on what book you reference (I think they are two different names for the same thing). Has anyone else ever replaced the unit? Or does anyone have the part they are willing to sell? Any experience with this would be appreciated.

Used ABS Pump

Replaced with used pump the first time (2006) as the rebuild wasn't an option, then with a rebuilt module from AutoECU (linked above) in 2016 (I pulled the module from my original pump).
