一般公開された第33回東京モーターショー。
今世紀最初で最後の「乗用車・二輪車ショー」のテーマは 「未来発走。 くるまが変わる。 地球が変わる
コンパニオンによるプレゼンテーション・ステージとともに 会場を賑わせたコンセプトカーの数々。
At the Japan Convention Center (Makuhari Messe) in Chiba Prefecture for 12 days from October 23rd to November 3rd, 1999.
The 33rd Tokyo Motor Show was open to the public.
The theme of the first and last "Passenger Car/Motorcycle Show" of this century is "Starting in the Future. Cars will change. The Earth will change."
A number of concept cars entertained the venue along with a presentation stage by companions.

Once again, we would like to take a look at the show car that graced the ISUZU booth and take a closer look at the SUV of the near future.
The theme of the ISUZU booth at the 33rd Tokyo Motor Show is "GO FARTHER - Go further than anyone else."
一般公開に先駆けて行われた報道関係者招待日(1999年10月20 日~21日)に配られたプレス インフォメーションには、こう書かれてあっ SUVにはどこへでも行けるという冒険心をくすぐるワクワク感があ ります。 SUV スペシャリストであるISUZUはこの高揚感を 「GO FARTHER 誰よりも遠くへ。 一」のテーマスローガンに込めました。 そしてこのメッセージにはもうひとつの意味も込められています。 それ はSUVの分野においても、ディーゼルテクノロジーの分野においても どこの誰よりも先行くメーカーであるということです。 さらにISUZUブー スでは、美しいデザインと最先端テクノロジーが融合した次世代SUV を紹介します...、と続いていた。

正式名称は「REVOLUTIONARY VEHICLE 回-KAI-」と表記す る。 英文字の枕詞には、 停滞し閉塞状態の4WDの世界に “活” を入 れる積極的なコンセプトやデザインを提案したいとの思いが込められて いるのだと聞いた。 SUV スペシャリストであるISUZUが、本質的な価 値を見極める眼を持つ人に向けて、次代を見据えたピュアなSUVと して具現化したのがこのコンセプトカーである。
The official name is written as “REVOLUTIONARY VEHICLE -KAI-”. I've heard that the English-written phrases reflect the company's desire to propose an active concept and design that will bring ``liveliness'' to the stagnant and closed-off world of 4WD. ISUZU, an SUV specialist, has created this concept car as a pure SUV with an eye toward the next generation, aimed at those with an eye for discerning essential value.
スタイリングキーワードは「アーキテクスチャー」。英語の ARCHITECTURE (建築) とTEXTURE (素材感) からの造語で、 建 築的ながっちりした骨格と繊細で行き届いたディテール表現の融合を 意味しているのである。 鋭い刃物で削り出したような平面に近いシン プルで簡素なボディ面、しなやかで緊張感のあるキャラクターライン。 日 本の伝統美である幾何学的、 彫刻的な造形をモダンに再生したフォ ルムがここに誕生した。 インテリアは、エンジンフードから連続したイメ ージをコックピットにも取り入れている。 さらにモダンファニチャーのセン スも加え、スパルタンな中にも安らぎを感じさせる手法がとられている。 心臓部となるエンジンは、 ISUZU 最新のV6 2.5~3.0l クラス、 V6DOHC 24バルブ直噴ターボディーゼル 〈Dd> を搭載。 サスペン ションは新開発のフロントダブルウィッシュボーンとリアマルチリンクによ る4輪独立懸架方式。 20インチ大径ナロータイヤ 1輪当たり2本の伸 縮分離型ショックアブソーバー、 電子制御トルクスプリット4WD 〈TOD〉 など、 既存のSUVをはるかに凌駕するドライバビリティを誇っている。

読み方は「ズィー・エックス・エス」。 キー・コンセプトは「クール&アク ティブ (Cool & Active)」。 それは、 SUVのニュースタイルとしてISUZU が提案する、 新ジャンルのビークルだった。
