The February 2000 issue of InRoads has an article "Larger than Life" which discusses the Kai and ZXS concept vehicles and relates them to the VehiCROSS prototype from the 1993 Tokyo Auto Show. There are many parallels to the VX in the Kai - the article then discusses the ZXS as "an urban assault vehicle" - this is the prototype to the Axiom.
